Front brake pad replacement (second recall measure) , GD-TT2

SUBARU SAMBER

I received a recall notice from MonotaRO, where I purchased my front brake pads.

It seems that the product I purchased last time contained a few percent asbestos.
I received a replacement and return kit.

It was quite thorough, containing a dust mask, plastic bags for airtight packaging, and even old newspapers to wet and wrap the pads in to prevent dust from flying.

Since it’s apparently to prevent health hazards, I replaced them straight away.

These are the replacement pads I purchased.

Miyaco MD-320, 1 set (4 pads)

They were ¥2,594 (tax included) at MonotaRO.

Another commemorative (record) photo of the new pad.

I jacked up the right front end and removed the caliper.

A close-up of the brakes.

I tried to look at the pad’s serial number, but it had been obscured by the grease.
I wasn’t sure if it was the affected part, so I called to inquire, and was told that in that case I should just replace it, so I ended up replacing it.

This is a commemorative (record) photo of the new pad.

The replacement was successful.
I did the same on the left side, but I’m tired so I don’t have any photos. (^_^;)

The procedure is the same as last time, so please refer to “Front brake pad replacement, GD-TT2″(https://solaristyka.com/en/diy-mech-workshop-en/subaru-samber-en/front-brake-pad-replacement-en/).

Mileage: Forgot to record (about 51,600 km)
