Mileage: 44,000 km
I received front brake pads from MonotaRO, so I replaced them.
Jacked up the car, put it on stands, and removed the tire.

Remove the bolts on the bottom of the caliper and lift it up.

The pads were pretty worn down.

Here’s a comparison of the old and new pads.
The old pad on the right has about 3mm of thickness remaining.
According to the repair manual, the recommended thickness when new is 9mm, and the limit is 2mm, so it’s almost at its limit.

The disc thickness is 18mm when new, with a limit of 16mm.
The front left one was 17.5mm.

It’s on the front right.

The thickness of the front right disc is about 17.3mm.

I think the remaining thickness of the right front pad is about 3mm.
I removed the back plate attached to the pad from the old one and reattached it to the new one.
I also applied brake grease to prevent them from sticking.
The instructions for MonotaRO pads say to replace them when there is 4mm of thickness remaining.
The thickness when new is 8mm, which seems to be a different management value from the genuine part.
I wonder how many kilometers they will last.
